Happy Science wins. In the defamation lawsuit based on Hiroshi's book "Separation from Happy Science" published by Bungeishunju, many falsehoods and damages were recognized. Not a single claim of truth from Hiroshi's side was acknowledged.

On March 17, 2020, Happy Science filed a lawsuit against Bungeishunju Ltd. and Hiroshi for damages related to the publication of the book "Separation from Happy Science." On March 4, 2022, the Tokyo District Court ruled that the defendants, Bungeishunju Ltd. and Hiroshi, were ordered to jointly pay 1.21 million yen to Happy Science, resulting in a victory for Happy Science. Not a single claim of truth from Hiroshi's side was acknowledged.

As a result of this ruling, Happy Science's claim for damages based on defamation against Bungeishunju Ltd., which published Hiroshi's false statements without verifying them, and against Hiroshi, who was found to have made numerous falsehoods in his book, was recognized.

We hope that Bungeishunju Ltd. and Hiroshi sincerely accept this ruling, cease making false statements and slander against Happy Science, and reflect deeply to never again blaspheme faith.
