"Weekly Bunshun" publishes an apology advertisement to Happy Science

Following the Supreme Court's decision on January 23, 2015, confirming our victory, an apology advertisement to our organization was published in "Weekly Bunshun" (February 12, 2015 issue).

This case involves an article in "Weekly Bunshun" (July 19, 2012 issue), where in July 2012, our organization filed a lawsuit against Bungeishunju Ltd., the publisher of "Weekly Bunshun," and a former believer (Mr. Osamu Tanemura), claiming that the headline and article were baseless and severely damaged our reputation. The Tokyo High Court ordered Bungeishunju to pay 4 million yen in damages and to publish a full-page apology advertisement in "Weekly Bunshun" (jointly signed by the president and editor-in-chief, retracting the article content and apologizing), which was confirmed by the Supreme Court.
