Victory for 'Happy Science' confirmed in Supreme Court, 'Shukan Bunshun' ordered to pay damages and publish apology advertisement

In July 2012, regarding the lawsuit filed by our religious organization against Bungeishunju Ltd., the publisher of 'Shukan Bunshun', and a former believer (Mr. Osamu Tanemura), for severely damaging our reputation with headlines and articles that were completely unfounded, on Friday, January 23, the Supreme Court confirmed the victory for our side, ordering Bungeishunju Ltd. to pay 4 million yen in damages and publish a full-page apology advertisement in 'Shukan Bunshun'.

With this ruling, it has been confirmed that the article based on Mr. Tanemura's statements in the July 19, 2012 issue of 'Shukan Bunshun' was entirely fabricated and contrary to the facts.
