Compensation order to 'Weekly Bunshun', regarding the ruling in favor of 'Happy Science'

In March 2011, regarding the lawsuit filed by our religious organization seeking damages against Bungeishunju Ltd., the publisher of 'Weekly Bunshun', and Kyoko Okawa, among others, for significantly damaging our reputation, today, Friday, September 19, the Tokyo District Court delivered a ruling in favor of our organization, recognizing the damages against Bungeishunju Ltd.

With this ruling, the sloppy reporting of the articles published in 'Weekly Bunshun' in January to February 2011 was revealed in court.

Following the ruling in March of this year open_in_new, in this case as well, 'Weekly Bunshun', which could not prove the truthfulness of the articles, is hoped to reflect on itself before condemning others and to improve its sloppy reporting practices.
